At Willow Primary we receive £19,300 to invest in our pupils sporting experiences. We are committed to using the funding to develop high-quality PE lessons, alongside greater opportunities for sports competitions, and clubs for our pupils. Funding for our school is calculated by the number of primary aged pupils (between the ages of 5 and 11) as at the annual census in January.
'Schools must spend the additional funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but they will have the freedom to choose how they do this’ (DfE June 2013).
Our school reflects on the impact of funding from the previous year & identifies areas for development. Based on the impact of the pandemic, our school is committed to created experiences that may have been reduced or missed in previous months.
We are proud to have been awarded the School Games PLATINUM Award for commitment to raising participation in Sports in 2024/25 and the GOLD Award in 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024. (The school games award was suspended during the covid pandemic so was not available in 2020 and 2021)

At Willow we have many links with our local community, our external partners are an integral part of how the sports premium provides memorable experience for the children.
