School Closure January to March 2021

All of our home learning will be delivered via Microsoft Teams. The children all have their own individual log in details which you will find in the front of their reading records.

This will include several inputs each day from staff members with explanations of the activities to be completed each session and a story or assembly to finish each day. All home learning activities will be uploaded in the 'Files' section of Teams for the children to access or download.

Guide to Microsoft Teams

Please follow this step by step guide to support you and your child in navigating around Microsoft Teams. Please contact us via the home learning email ( should you need any support with this and we look forward to seeing all the children at 9:15am each day from Wednesday 6th January.

1. Download the Microsoft Teams App to your device or use Microsoft Teams in your web browser to log in using the log in details provided in your child's reading record.
2. You can then join a meeting by clicking on the meeting (check the right time for the meeting). You will see two meetings have been scheduled each day for your child to join (morning and afternoon).
3. Click on the scheduled meeting and then click the 'join' button. You will then wait in the lobby until a member of staff is ready to begin the meeting and gives access.

At the end of the meeting the teacher/teaching assistant will direct the children to their activities.

4. To access/download the children's home learning activities and resources you will need to click on the 'Teams' icon down the left hand side and then 'files' at the top of the screen.

5. Then click into the 'class materials' folder.
6. You will then need to select the appropriate day and lesson as directed by the teacher/teaching assistant during the meeting.
7. Click on the file and choose the document you want to open.

8. Choose to 'open in desktop app' to work on the file on the computer/ look at the file on screen or 'print' to print the document and write on it.

If it is a 'pdf' document press on the three dots in the top right corner to download the file.

9. Work can be saved on computer and uploaded to share it  but it is probably best to photograph work and send it to the home learning address -

It will be great to see what you are achieving at home. Thank you
