At Willow Primary School, we really value the importance of Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and we want our pupils to grow up healthy, safe and happy. The important lessons you teach your child about healthy relationships, looking after themselves and staying safe, are respected and valued at Willow Primary School. Teaching at school will compliment and reinforce the lessons you teach your child as they grow up. Our RSE curriculum is designed to equip your child with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their well-being and will prepare them for a successful adult life.
You can express your opinion, and this will help us to decide when and how to cover the content of the statutory guidance. Please note, you cannot withdraw your child from Relationships Education, as it is statutory. However, you can withdraw your child from the non-statutory components within RSE (Sex Education) if you choose to do so. Please read the guidance documents above before you make any decisions and and speak to your child's class teacher if you have any concerns or questions. Alternatively, you can contact Mrs Sumner or Miss Pownall (Personal Development and Social, Moral Spiritual and Cultural Education Leader & PSHCE Subject Champion) for further advice and guidance.
If you would like to withdraw your child from the non-statutory components of RSE, please complete the form below and hand in to the school admin team.
